The Incendiary Journey -- paintings and drawings by David Campbell Wilson From August 3rd to August 26th 2006 Vorpal Space Gallery proudly presented: "The Incendiary Journey", a collection of Paintings and drawings by David Campbell Wilson. David Campbell Wilson is a master surrealist painter currently active in the downtown artist community in Los Angeles, CA. Over the last 10 years, his work has been shown regularly in Los Angeles, New York and Seattle, but this show represents his first solo show in the NorthWest in over five years. "Incendiary Journey" is a retrospective of his work, with pieces spanning 10 years of creative output. "Incendiary Journey" contains striking iconic images like his well known version of the Hindu deity Ganesh, the titanic Altarpiece, pieces and prints from his current project The Queen of the Box [part of which is currently on display at the Lawrence Asher Gallery in Los Angeles ] and various smaller paintings and drawings. David is an active member of the community which has developed around the annual Burning Man festival, and much of his work explores themes revelant to those unique experiences.
