Dark Apertures -- paintings and drawings by Jeff .T Rivas ![]() In February 2007 Vorpal Space presented Dark Apertures, a collection of paintings and drawings by Portland area painter Jeff T. Rivas. Mr. Rivas is an up and coming surrealist painter, illustrator, and body modification artist who explores dark, surreal, and sexually charged imagery in his work. "Dark Apertures" showcases a number of striking iconic paintings which typify his unique style, as well as beautiful detailed drawings. Mr. Rivas attended Cornish School of Art in Seattle. He has shown regularly in the NorthWest, including in Seattle, Los Angeles, New York, Bellingham, Tacoma, Olympia, and Spokane. "Dark Apertures" was his first solo exhibition in Portland.
